Wow only a week after the Midnight Souls release show Belgium once again rules hard. I bet there were over 500 kids attending this show in Kortrijk, Belgium. Lots of UK kids as well as people who came from Germany, Spain and other countries just for this occasion. Sex Drive played a pretty good set considering they’re not the kind of band to play a big stage and not that many kids were at the venue already. I didn’t see Hessian nor Dead Swans due to standing outside with Reflections. What I saw from Iron Age didn’t rock my boat but Rise and Fall were great. I got the new record (releaseshow edition number 60 out of 80 for all you vinyl collectors) which also contained a new issue of Where It Ends fanzine and a special cover. Though the original artwork is impressive as well.

    Cool !
I know that R&F asked BIRDS IN ROW to play as well, I was with them when they got the email, they were bummed not to be able to do it. That’s an impressive line up,what I heard from the new R&F seems great too!

  3. Sex Drive didn’t do it for me, and they seemed out of place on that stage. Only saw the last Hessian song cuz of stocking up on vegan chocolate & fig jelly at a local supermarket, was okay, but I’ve seen em do better. Dead Swans was boring. Iron Age was awesome, loved every second of it. Not the best sound (at least not on the balcony where I was standing), but damn it, they were fun. Rise & Fall were awesome as well. Good mix of older material and songs from ‘Faith’.

Also got the record release show version of the new R&F record (well 2, also one for a friend, #44 & #45), an Iron Age t-shirt and 2 classic 7″s that were lacking from my vinyl collection (Burn & Quicksand).

Oh and De Kreun lacks any sort of atmosphere. Second time I’ve been there and it’s just dead. Bleagh…
