on the last Capital release ‘Givers/Takers’ they have a recording of a phone-call to get the support slot on the Ruiner show for the made-up band TUFF (Tools Used For Fighting), hilarious!
For other silly bandnames: look at modern metalcore bands and/or black metal. Oh, and power metal is always a good area to search for crazy over the top bandnames.

years ago they played in Paris on the persistance tour (along with agnostic front, death before dishonor, ignite, ringworm)…out of boredom my friends and I started a dodgeball game and various silly folk dancing, one of my best show memories.

Apperantly, I’m wrong. It’s not an animal at all. The wiki states they just thought it was cool to combine a disease with an animal. That’s just stupid.
A local band was called “Maaswater Veenlijk” (Maaswater peat body according to Google Translate). Loved the music and the guys, still think it’s a terrible bandname ;)
I saw them in Antwerp a few months ago and I did think it was kind of funny to hear the singer of one of the other bands shout to “give it up for these nuts”. But maybe that’s just me.

No problem. But like i said, I really dislike that name. And it is not cool to combine those 2 things at all.

I heard someone make a joke once that someone should his/her band texas is the reason alex is on fire. Since that day I always think something is missing when I see one of those two bandnames…
