So what cool (new) bands have you guys come across recenlty?
(there already was a new bands topic, but for some reason I was unable to track it down).
I went to London last weekend to go to the last Milloy show (which was totally awesome) and ended up going to a Rucktion Presents… show at the 12Bar as well. And I saw some bands that I liked.
When these 3 fellas from London got on stage I expected them to play orgcore by the looks of them. They didn’t. Pissed off heavy fast hardcore (think early Trash Talk) with heavy rock (Unsane) and punkrock influences. Two voices, one burly, one harsh screaming. And a drummer with an awesome moustache. During one song I thought ‘So this is what it would sound like if Hot Water Music played power violence’. You know, just to give you an idea.
London based heavy hardcore. And I do mean heavy. Not your typical LBU stuff (allthough elements are there), but more 90′s mainland metalcore mixed with more basic beatdown elements. Food for the moshmonkeys. I will be reviewing their demo shortly.
Belgian kids from Houthalen, Limburg playing Have Heart/Verse/Modern Life Is War influenced melodic hardcore. New e.p. out this summer on Open Up Records. Cool dudes, cool band.
I already hit Rold up with a pm about Rebuild, more his cup of tea. Might ask Tempers Fray some questions, had a chat with their singer after the show and he’s an very nice guy.

I saw them live this weekend and they ruled! I’m not sure how to describe them. The drummer and both guitarists sing (well… do vocals). This is perhaps screamo with a hardcore edge. Or hardcore with loads screamo influences.
