SWNK’s current favourite band ( ;) ) will release a one-sided 12″ accoustic ep entitled Part and Parcel on November 22nd. Will include a Touché Amoré cover amongst others. Read all about on the link below and stream a song. Sounds good (although I personally don’t really care for accoustic e.p’s of heavy bands). Looking forward to hearing the accoustic verion of Ghostal.

4. Transparent Seas
5. Coats
6. UntitledI just missed pre-ordering the version you can make into an actual working clock (limited to 25). I had it in my shopping cart, but when I checked out, they were all gone…
Nirvana & Alice In Chains amongst others worked pretty well unplugged. After hearing that MP3 it seems to work for Make Do And Mend quite well too (not on the same level though…). I’ll check it out. Without hearing it I could have done without the Touché Amoré cover though.
The world could have done without Touché Amoré if you ask me, but let’s not upset Rold. ;)
Even I could have done without Touche Amore, though that first record is a really good one.
And Pim MDAM might just make you a Touche Amore believer… if you’re open for it.Anyone checked out the new La Dispute record? ;)
I don’t want to upset the mother of one of the Touché Amoré guys, so I’m not going to make any further comments on that band ;)
Curious to hear this whole EP though!
Make do and Mend is making regular rounds on my ipod the last few weeks, although im not too much of a fan of their acoustic work (check it on youtube). On the other hand, this is a studio album so who knows!
The singing is not really all that great in the accoustic sessions on youtube, indeed…
There will also be a UK pressing of this release vinyl and cd and it comes with a limited edition MDAM wrist watch. Thats pretty awesome, and since I missed out on the clockversion, I just pre-ordered that version.
A new track of the e.p. is currently up on MDAM’s Facebook. It’s the Touché Amoré cover Home Away From Here.

To be honest, I don’t like it that much. Bit boring if you ask me. Still not sure wether I’m gonna be down with this e.p.
Even a great band like Make Do And Mend can’t make a Touche Amore song sound cool. Not that I expected anything else ;)
I don’t care about this acoustic EP. I love the raw edge of their regular stuff and that’s completely lacking on this EP, or so it seems.
The entire e.p. is now streaming on the bands Facebook. And to be honest: it isn’t very good… I couldn’t get myself to finish any of the songs.

I agree Rik. Review up soon.
Anyone already received the American pre-order?
I got the Part & Parcel wristwatch in the mail today and it’s absolutely awesome.
The cd version arrived today… and shockingly, Pink Mist released this on a CD-Recordable.
In a low quality card board sleeve (not a digipack, a sleeve) with blurry artwork, that looks like they printed it themselves.
And they charged me 6 pounds + p&p for that. :eek:Definately not the high standard release I’m used to from MDAM…
Totally absurd if you ask me. -
