So what’s everyone playing, or what are you favorite games?
I finished Deus Ex 3 : Human Revolution the previous weekend and loved every second of it. Loved the story, loved the fact that I could hack all kinds of computers to read emails and get to know a bit more about the story (and find Nigerian spam mails). The whole augmenting thing (upgrading yourself to get new features) works great too.
After Heavy Rain probably the best game I played in years.
(I did like LA Noire too and I’m looking forward to Call Of Duty MW3 / Battlefield 3 Fifa 12 ;))
Nobody?
Tested out the Fifa 12 PC demo today. Seems great, placed a pre-order for it right after finishing the demo. Decided to order COD:MW3 too ;) Gotta do, what you gotta do.
Battlefield 3 I want to try out first. Because previous versions of that game weren’t my cup of tea.
Fav game is Red Dead Redemption, liked LA Noire too, but can’t seem to get myself to replay parts for better results.
Now playing Fruit Ninja Kinect (haha) and the Gunstringer, still really enjoying the Kinect, it’s great!
I did play LA Noire only once too.
I did play half of Heavy Rain again. Made less impact I have to admit.
As for the PS Move (came with the PS3 when I purchased it). Played the demos once. That’s it.
Red Dead Redemption I played for half an hour once or something, wasn’t really feeling it. Maybe I should pick that up again.
Can’t wait for Fifa 12 & COD:MW3 (both for PC) to get in haha.
Well I bought the Kinect, mostly to play together with the kids, but I am enjoying it myself as well. Also good because I hate working out and this forces me to move ;-)
Have been playing a bit of FIFA 12 the last couple of days. Loving it again, but at the moment the “Semi-Pro” difficulty setting is too easy and the “Pro” setting is too hard. But in time I’ll probably manage ;)
Good luck with that!
Battlefield 3 anyone? My xbox gamer tag is : MuscleDawg
Other than that it’s Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim all the way baby. This game will ruin Green Menace Records. Gonna be real interesting how I will manage to put out 7 records during this autumn/winter + playing all the games. Again please buy our records, It’ll go straight into my gaming and pizza/snacks fund. Hope Loffe doesn’t see this.No xbox and no Battlefield 3 over here. I’ll probably check it out on the PC later though. First I have to get bored with Fifa 12 and then it’s COD:MW3 time. And I guess I have to pick up Uncharted 3 too. So it could be a while before I get to it ;)
Good luck with dealing with Loffe
Shit. I really need to get rid of that Wii and buy me a PS3. I want to play the new Batman game
looking forward to that Batman game too, but first I still have to find a few of the riddles in the previous game ;-)
Just finished the Deus Ex – The Missing Link DLC. It was cool to dive back into the game and I got sucked right back in, but I gotta say the overall impact was a bit less than with the game itself. I’ll be checking out a possible next DLC for sure too though
Just want to know how the story develops.Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 just got delivered. Have to wait until Tuesday though, because of the annoying Steam “it’s not released yet” check…
So looking forward to finaly play Modern Warfare 3!! So curious what you think of it Pim.
Still haven’t got the chance to pick up LA Noire
Also still stoked for that one!I’ll probably love it. Like I did every previous COD release
Just wish I could activate it haha. It really sucks to have the disc in front of you and no way to play it.I did play the singleplayer of Battlefield 3 too. Normally I’m not really into Battlefield, but the singleplayer (although not an amazing story, and nowhere the rollercoaster ride COD usually is) was pretty cool. Next gen in graphics for sure (it looked great), NOT in storytelling or gameplay. Just as scripted (which I don’t mind, because it helps to tell a story).
I hope it takes at least one more week before Uncharted 3 arrives, because otherwise I have no idea how to manage it all timewise haha.
LA Noire was great by the way. I love heavy story based games (Heavy Rain, Deus Ex, LA Noire).
Nevermind haha
About halfway through Uncharted 3. Even better than Uncharted 1 & 2 so far and I LOVED those games. Games like this and Heavy Rain make me glad I picked up that PS3 some time ago (aside from the fact it does a nice job in playing movies etc).
Completed Uncharted 3 today. The finale wasn’t as mindblowing as I expected. Probably because the rest of the game is highlight after highlight after highlight you expect something REALLY big you know. It’s not like it was bad, it was just, less amazing
Anyway, I loved every second of it and I can’t wait for Uncharted 4.SpoilerLuckily less stupid supernatural plot twists too this time.Been into several iPad games lately. Angry Birds, Labyrinth, Fruit Ninja and many more! I just lose track of time with ‘em!!
I hardly ever game on my iPad. Mostly email, browsing and reading
Just saw this trailer, the whole vibe comes across as “The Walking Dead – the game”. And if you take in account this comes from the people who did Uncharted we might be in for something good
This thread made me remember I still have a LOT of games to finish when I get back home.
Currently studying abroad and left my PS3 at home for my brother..So what’s waiting for me?
Uncharted 1,2 and probably 3
Batman Arkham Asylum
Bioshock 2 (loved I .. )I’m way behind :P
Oh… I wish I could play Uncharted 1,2 & 3 for the first time again
Didn’t check out the new Batman yet, I really liked the first one though.
Yeah I think I’m nearly finished with Uncharted 1
kinda looking forward to starting with 2 already xD
And wishing I brought my console to Switzerland.. Love Arkham Asylum and REALLY want to finish that, but I’m also a huge Batman fan, so that might have something to do with it.. was afraid of playing it as superhero games tend to be really bad. But this one worked out fine imo.The only thing I didn’t like about 1 & 2 are the ‘plot twists’. There’s some stuff happening in there later on in the game that make it all seem less real. In 3 it’s less present, or at least they explain it in a different way, which is a good thing if you ask me. If you’re done playing, be sure to check the ‘making of’ videos in the bonus section. Gives a nice view of how dedicated those makers are.
Yeah I got to a part in Uncharted 1 that made me think: right..
SpoilerSomething with Nazi Zombies? :PBut to be honest I just love Naughty Dog products. Played Crash Bandicoot all the time when I was a kid :p
Just saw an article+trailer on Last of Us which I think I might like.
http://www.computerandvideogames.com/329498/naughty-dog-wants-last-of-us-to-redefine-video-games/SpoilerYeah, exactly. Uncharted 2 has something similar. And Uncharted 3 has it too, but in a different way.Either way, some of my favorite games. I never played Crash Bandicot so I can’t comment on that ;)
Yeah, I posted that trailer above your first post above ;)
Oops, missed that .. still cool!
really has an Uncharted vibe too.Just started Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. I don’t like multiplayer shoot-em-up’s, but the singleplayer made rules so much.
I totally love sneaking around with a sniper gun or throw some grenades through the windows.
The first one Nico? Or Modern Warfare 3?
I like to play a couple of matches of MW3 whenever I have the time. I totally prefer multiplayer over singpleplayer.
CoD: MW3 on PS3!
I recently traded my Wii for a Ps3. So far I played Ratchet and Clank 4, GTA IV, Batman Arkham Asylum and Assisins Creed. Swapping was a good choice.
Haha I can imagine. My Wii is collecting dust. The only reason I keep it is because I also have a Guitar Hero World Tour package (drums, bass, guitar, mic). If the right occassion ever comes along I’m rocking my plastic guitar… uhuh.
As for the PS3: Pick up Heavy Rain, Uncharted 1,2,3 and LA Noire!
I had GH5 for Wii ( won it in a radioshow :D). It included a butt-ugly guitar and lots of shitty progrock, so you can imagine that was collecting dust too. Also tried one of the CoD games, but I guess it will look a lot better on PS3, so I’ll be picking one of those up in the near future.
Thanks for the tips!and the kill zone games!!
COD you need to play on a PC ;) And KillZone never attracted me, but I can see why people love it.
I love my ps3 so no pc for me haha. And killzone? I’m just proud that it’s dutch. The game controls are a bit different than your average first person shooter. But ones you get the hang of it, its a great game. With a cool story line!!
I’m playing COD:MW3 on xbox, who’s playing ? my gamertag is bubububust.
Been a while since I played a game again, but I just finished “Dear Esther” – http://dear-esther.com/
It’s a short game and the only thing you can do in it is walk around (you can’t jump, run or interact or something, only walking). Doesn’t sound interesting right? Wrong.
If you have the patience to experience this interactive story it’s pretty good. Interesting at the very least. I’m not quite sure what to make of the story (it’s not that clear), but the interpretations people posted in the link below were pretty good:
Did you play dream:scape, Pim? Looks like it’s the same kind of game, not too much action but great story and atmosphere.
Nopes, but since it’s carnaval (not my cup of tea) and I have some free time at the moment I’ll check it out! Looks interesting!
Also started playing Broken Sword 3 for the first time (I loved 1 & 2). It’s pretty different (3D instead of 2D) and technically not that great (especially not in comparison with what we’re used to these days), but okay. Quite like it so far.
