It’s time for me to do my own! I’ve blended together different form of metal from classic albums, both obscure and more well-known ones. Everything for the serious metalhead to the one’s just getting into metal.
As always, if you like these things and want to do one of your own, let us know and we’ll work something out!
Most of you should know how it works by now, but for the newcowers: It’s pretty simple. We post a collage of a couple of tracks and it’s up to you all to guess the bands and the songs. When you recognize something, just post it in the comments.
This will be a tough quiz.

I listened to it at work on very low volume. Couldn’t recognize much this way. I heard some Slayer I think (no3), Helloween (no 4), Morbid angel (from the blessed are the sick album, but what’s that song called again…) and Metallica – Motorbreath (no 13). Will check again when at home, see if I recognize more.

1. A thrash/tech-metal classic from 1985. The band is from Austin (USA).
2. German thrash from 1987, a little bit more on the obscure side.
3. Classic technical thrash-metal/death from the US, released on an album from 1988. Could be figured out with Sad and two other letters.
5. A classic US-act that have been criminally underlooked. One of the best thrash-albums ever, from 1991. Starts with Morbid.
6. German thrash/death metal act, released this song on an album from 1991. Pretty obscure. It’s someone that could watch your back.
10. This one is a give-away, pretty well-known doom/sludge-act. It’s a sticky treatment, which was released as an album in 1999.
11. Lesser known noise/instrumental metal, from 1986. An album which represents one of the main organs in our body that keep us alive. At least on the album cover.
12. Classic black metal album, from the northern hemisphere. One of the band-members were also active in Tsjuder at one point or another. From 1996.
15. Tech-death at its peak. From one of their most known albums, released in 1998. They’ve got a Gut in their name.
